After Jacob’s city was struck by a wave of criminal activity, the city’s leaders asked for volunteers to help suppress this violent behavior. Jacob gave consent to get genetically modified with the intention to help. But in reality the city’s leaders were behind the attacks and wanted to build their own force team to nullify freedom of speech and exploit their citizens. 

All genetically modified creatures seemed to loose their sense of ‘self’ and followed orders blindly. Jacob too, who was now called J-08 by his commander. They were grouped together to form the city’s ‘Force Team’ and replaced the current police.

War

As soon as the city’s leaders started their campaign of forceful safety, citizens decided to stand up and fight for their rights. They formed groups and tried to get attention and support in different ways. Most of their methods were peaceful, but some involved painting the streets and breaking store windows..

But no matter what these groups tried, the city’s leaders ignored their message and ruthlessly attacked demonstrators. The Force Team was stronger than the inhabitants and most groups quickly fell apart. Group members who could escape and still wanted to fight all came together to start one big group, simply calling themselves ‘the Rebellion’.

The End?

After the city’s leaders were eventually caught and imprisoned, some of their followers wanted to destroy as much evidence as they could which involved the Force Team.

Somehow J-08 found enough will-power to dismiss instructions and escape his planned death. Maybe it was his pure instinct that urged him to survive. Or maybe Jacob was still in there.. somewhere.

J-08 fled to a forest which quickly felt like home to him. He still roams there to this day. 

Trivia: 

It’s unclear if Jacob can still talk or think for himself. It seems like these abilities have been pressed down to make room for an increase of strength and endurance.
